How to log your work experience on unifrog

    Website name

    Description

We use Unifrog at Glenmoor & Winton academies for all year groups. To access Unifrog for the first time, students will need access to their school email account at https://outlook.office.com. If you cannot access your account, please email smhw@glenmoorandwinton.org.uk.

    The Complete Destinations Platform

Unifrog is an online platform that supports schools and colleges to deliver their statutory duty to provide students with impartial and independent guidance on the full range of Post-16 and Post-18 options.

Unifrog is the only place where students can compare every undergraduate course in the UK as well as international opportunities. Additionally, unifrog provides students with access to the most comprehensive list of live apprenticeships available across the country including Higher, SLIP and degree apprenticeships, as well as FE courses.

Once students have explored their interests and compared the full range of pathways available to them, Unifrog provides one place for students to draft all materials needed for applications such as CVs and personal statements.

All students, across all year groups, now have access to the platform in keeping with our commitment to provide students with outstanding careers guidance and tailored support when choosing their next steps.

    Benefits for teachers

Unifrog is a whole school careers platform. It allows teachers and careers advisors to track their pupil's progress and keep a record of their research and all of the careers interactions each student has received. It makes it easy for teachers and careers advisors to work with students to find the best next step for them. Staff are able to provide feedback on applications, comment on student's research, log careers interviews and interactions, as well as upload actions plans, and provide support and feedback on application materials.

    Information for parents and carers

Every parent/carer can have their own login to Unifrog, where they can access the tools, information and guidance to support their child to make their best next step.

If you would like more information on Unifrog, please visit their website: https://unifrog.org.

5 STARS FOR CAREERS AT GLENMOOR AND WINTON ACADEMIES

Glenmoor and Winton recently applied for the Bournemouth Dorset and Poole Employer and Education Partnership Charter.

This charter is given to either schools or employers as recognition of their work with young people to ensure they are prepared for the world of work with the necessary attitudes, experience and motivation. The assessment is carried out by two assessors, one from education and one from industry so that the charter can have real credibility and hopefully go some way to address the future skills agenda for Dorset.

Glenmoor and Winton Academies are among the first schools in the whole of Dorset to be assessed and we are delighted to announce that we have received the maximum 5 stars. The assessors Richard Dimbleby and Phillip Paige remarked at how impressed they were with the young people with whom they met.

The Academies will now be listed on the Dorset LEP website as having achieved the charter. On June 15 there was a celebration for all recipients at Bournemouth University to which staff and students were invited and presented with the certificate.

“My sincere congratulations to you and all your staff who are involved with the Careers Education, Information Advice and Guidance agenda. We know how much scrutiny schools are under regarding this and I hope that those schools who hold the Dorset charter can feel rightly proud that the great work they are doing has been rigorously assessed and recognised”

Caroline Foster, Strategic Leader Bournemouth and Poole 14-19 team
