SWAG - Society of Winton and Glenmoor

COVID had a massive impact on all our lives, one of which is the halting of all social events. At SWAG, our key priority this year is to bring the school community back together. We are currently a small group but would like to grow to include as many parents as possible.

Life is busy! We know that this is the case for all parents and so our aim is to connect as many people as possible regardless of the level of commitment.

Communication

SWAG aims to be a go –between the school and parents, helping parents to be more aware of how the school is acting to improve the lives of our young people. Supporting this strand of SWAG may be sharing news and information via SWAG social media and email or connecting with parents whilst providing refreshments at school events.

Connection

SWAG aims to build on the already positive ways the school is responding to community issues. This may be collaborating with the school eco club to review policy or supporting the school beach clean. The opportunities are endless!

Cash

SWAG aspires to understand how fundraising can help the school, aiming to provide practical ways for parents to get involved in fundraising and then make decisions about how this funding can be used. This may include organising or helping to run events, in the past these have included a Christmas fair and SWAG Quiz night.

Please do contact us if you would like to help.
