Beau Roper, Head Boy
I am honoured and very proud to be Head Boy for Winton Academy this year and can not wait to get started and represent the school. I will do everything I can to make this school even better than it already is, with the thoughts and feelings of the students coming first. This year it is my aim to embody the three core values of the school: integrity, courage and compassion. By becoming head boy I hope to instill these values into other pupils at the school. GW not only teaches you academically, but also teaches you morals and principles to help better yourself as a person, and this makes me feel very privileged to be at this school. A main reason for this is the high standards of teachers, not only in lessons but outside of it as well, making a great working environment. This working environment helped build a great work ethic in me and I encourage others to have the same work ethic. At GW, there are many amazing opportunities, such as sports trips away, the DofE award scheme and also geography and history trips away. After the year we have had, we all have to work extremely hard and with the help of students and teachers we can all get the results we need. I am very grateful for this opportunity and can not wait to get started.
